There’s a lot to get done at WISF and we could use some extra hands. Starting in 2026, we’re looking for a number of volunteers to help us across areas such as community management, event and project management, research, and content support.

 

While these roles are unpaid, they offer the opportunity to be part of an engaged, purposeful team working on issues that matter deeply. From sustainability and innovation to the future of our shared planet.

Volunteer Role: Communications

This role supports WISF’s communication activities across digital channels. It involves drafting newsletters and LinkedIn posts, creating community and speaker spotlights, developing engaging event-related content before and after sessions, and maintaining event landing pages with accurate information on speakers and registrations. The role also includes coordinating social media engagement and helping amplify the visibility of WISF’s mission and community stories.

We are looking for someone creative, proactive and passionate about sustainability, storytelling and women’s empowerment.

Volunteering in this role offers hands-on experience in communications, copywriting and digital content creation, opportunities to strengthen your personal brand and visibility in the sustainability ecosystem, and a chance to expand your network across sustainability, finance and female entrepreneurship while learning directly from highly experienced members of the WISF community.


Volunteer Role: Community Management

This role helps strengthen engagement within the WISF community. It involves managing and responding to incoming inquiries via the WISF inbox, coordinating communication within the team, welcoming guests at events, gathering feedback, supporting member spotlights, and assisting with membership management, including renewals and cancellations.We are looking for someone personable, reliable, structured and motivated by connecting people and fostering community.The role offers experience in nonprofit and community management, exposure to a broad network of professionals in sustainable finance, and the development of communication and stakeholder management skills. It also provides the opportunity to expand your professional network in sustainability, finance and female entrepreneurship, while learning from highly experienced professionals across the WISF community.


Volunteer Role: Events

This role supports the planning and execution of WISF events. It includes contributing to event concepts and themes, scouting and coordinating speakers, assisting with logistics and guest reception, and collaborating with the communications team on promotion. There is also the opportunity to moderate events for those who are interested.

We are looking for someone organized, proactive and passionate about sustainability, gender equality and community engagement.

Volunteering in this role offers hands-on experience in event management and moderation, opportunities to network with leaders in the field, and the development of communication and project management skills. It is also a chance to expand your professional network across sustainability, finance and female entrepreneurship, and to learn directly from highly experienced members of the WISF community.


Volunteer Role: Video Production & Event Recording

This role focuses on recording WISF in-person events using a simple, user-friendly camera setup. It includes setting up and packing away recording equipment, ensuring stable footage throughout the event, and transferring the recorded content afterwards. Support with basic video editing is optional for those interested, and full training is provided.

We are looking for someone reliable, curious and eager to learn, with an interest in media, content creation or event production.

The role offers practical experience in video production and digital content creation, opportunities to build a portfolio with real event footage, and hands-on learning with training and support. It also provides a valuable opportunity to expand your network in sustainability, finance and female entrepreneurship, while gaining exposure to and learning from highly experienced professionals in the WISF community.
