The Basel Investor Forum was founded by Alain Bindels, who brings over 17 years of experience across pharma, digital health, deeptech, and venture capital. Prior to founding InnoSense and the Basel Investor Forum, he spent more than a decade at Roche, where he led global digital transformation initiatives, launched innovation labs, and spearheaded startup collaboration programs. As a VC partner, he invests in medtech, biotech, diagnostics, and digital health companies from seed to Series A, and actively collaborates with institutions such as ETH Zurich, EPFL, and the University of Basel.
