We are delighted to announce the partnership between Women in Sustainable Finance International and the Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein. With a joint vision of supporting women across the globe for a more equal and just future, we are delighted to join forces.
The Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein is the official platform of the UN Global Compact in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and seeks to mobilize and motivate businesses to engage in corporate responsibility and sustainability as well as to support companies in aligning their corporate strategies, operations, and their culture with the UN Global Compact Ten Principles (human rights, labor standards, environment, anti-corruption) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Gender equality is a fundamental human right. Yet despite progress, women around the world do not fully experience equal rights and their potential remains untapped. Empowering women help expand economic growth, promote social development and establish more stable and just societies.
The UN Global Compact believes that all businesses stand to benefit from gender equality and women's empowerment. The Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), established by the UN Global Compact and UN Women, are a set of Principles offering guidance to businesses on how to promote gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community. The WEPs platform offers the private sector a global network of like-minded companies and guidance on advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.
In future we will be hosting joint events, learnings and social gatherings to collaborate, network and unite.
