Widad Maillet is a financial professional with 15 years of experience in strengthening risk management and providing oversight over banking activities. She began her career as a market risk analyst for equity derivatives at Société Générale in Paris and later led Group-level audit assignments focused on reviewing model risk across the Bank’s key locations. She later joined the Bank for International Settlements in Basel as an Audit Manager, covering BIS banking activities. Widad is committed to advancing sustainability and strengthening the role of finance in supporting sustainable development.
Widad holds an engineering degree (Diplôme d’Ingénieur) and a master’s degree in quantitative finance from a leading Grande École in France.
She is fluent in French, English and Arabic.
