Is the needle moving? Are we walking the temperature pathway? Have we made a positive impact with the investments we were looking for?

Speak up culture

We live in a time of “speak-up culture” and an “open-door policy” where employees are encouraged to approach management with concerns. Still, speaking up is not acceptable by most cooperations and is being punished. What are the implications for our society?

Desiree Fixler is the former Group Sustainability Officer and member of the Global Leadership Team at DWS, responsible for driving the firm's sustainability strategy as a corporation and as a fiduciary. She has a 20+ year track record in responsible/impact investing and investment banking. Before DWS, Desiree was Portfolio Manager and Managing Director for Impact Investing at ZAIS. She also worked as a Senior Advisor for responsAbility following senior positions at Blue Orchard, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and Merrill Lynch. Desiree studied at the London School of Economics and is a board member and co-chair of Mosholu Montefiore Community Center. She is also advisory board member at LSE Ventures.
