According to the OECD, the ocean economy is projected to reach USD 3 trillion by 2030, offering vast opportunities across sectors including renewable energy, sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, shipping, biotechnology, and coastal resilience infrastructure.

Despite covering more than 70% of the planet and generating over half of the world’s oxygen, oceans have long been overlooked in mainstream financial discourse. That is now changing. As marine ecosystems face mounting threats from pollution, overfishing, climate change, and biodiversity loss, innovative finance mechanisms are emerging to channel capital into ocean-positive solutions.
